The Road Back1 Kings 19:15-21
Elijah had suffered a major breakdown, but the Lord sent him back to the task he was called to. Only God was not sending him alone. A disciple was given to him: Elisha!
There is a parallel between the call of Elisha and that of Jesus' disciples. As he took on the "mantle", so they "the cross".

Disciples are willing to make the sacrifices - counting the cost, deal with the past - setting themselves free for future service, enter their discpileship with a spirit of joy and celebration, and make themselves completely available to their master. There is much blessing in discipleship!
