The Seattle Storytelling Guild joined the Nordic Heritage Museum in Ballard, in celebrating of Finland's Centennial in 2017 by sharing their national epic story with a Epic storytelling event. Tellers came from as far as California to Canada to tell portions of this little known epic tale. The storytelling on March 25th, 2017 was based on the Heroes of the Kalevala, Finland's Saga by Babette Deutsch, (1940), which was an abbreviated version of Elias Lonroot's original publication, The Kalevala, (1835).
Here is an Album of pictures of the Event.
