The ship and crew of more than 100 officers and Sailors departed Hawaii to participate in Cooperation Afloat Readiness and Training (CARAT) 2004 exercise. CARAT is a regularly scheduled series of bilateral military training exercises with Singapore, Thailand, Malaysia, Brunei and the Philippines.
